At Soupergirl, food safety is a part of our company culture. Every day. We follow strict guidelines from the FDA and the DC Dept of Health. Our company is also audited annually by an independent food safety company. We recently received a score of 99%! This score means that we fully vet all suppliers, have full traceability on all products, comply with rigorous food handling standards, and quite simply, put customers' safety first.
Whether we're delivering to stores or shipping, we have full temperature control throughout the process. The foods we mail or courier to our customers are made fresh and kept refrigerated until they are boxed in insulated boxes with frozen gel packs and shipped within a few hours of being packed. Every shipment mailed via UPS contains a color-coded temperature indicator so that the recipient can ensure the shipment has arrived at a safe chilled temperature. How do you handle food safety?

We take allergens very seriously. All of our items do not contain any of the following common allergens: dairy, eggs, fish and shellfish.
We have a strict allergen control program in place. We are also all about transparency: we note if any of our menu items contain the following allergens: gluten, tree nuts, peanuts, coconut, and soy. For quick reference, we put icons on the image of the menu item. We also list all of the ingredients and nutritional information for our menu items.
